OneGarnet Offcially Begins Production at the World’s Largest Garnet Mine

By 2025, global garnet resources are increasingly under pressure, as many existing mines face declining output and only limited years of operation ahead.
In several key producing regions, reserves are nearing depletion, leading to reduced production and higher extraction costs. Industry observers note that without breakthroughs in exploration or advances in recycling, supply constraints may gradually tighten in the coming years.
Amid growing global supply pressures, OneGarnet Group has announced the development of a new garnet mine in Lianyungang, China. The site is estimated to contain more than 200 million tons of high-quality almandine garnet, accounting for about 60 percent of the world’s proven reserves.
Analysts believe this discovery could reshape the global garnet market and provide long-term stability for industries that depend on the mineral. The vast reserves also highlight China’s expanding role in securing critical mineral resources at a time of increasing scarcity.
OneGarnet Mine Plant Officially Commenced Operations in 2025
Building on this foundation,We are proud to announce that the OneGarnet mine plant officially commenced operations in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the global garnet industry. In its very first year, the plant achieved an impressive production capacity of 1 million tonnes, setting a new benchmark for scale and efficiency.
The OneGarnet ore contains up to 90% garnet, which is four times higher than conventional garnet mines. This exceptionally high mineral content not only improves production efficiency but also ensures superior product purity and quality. With a fully automated production line, the plant maintains strict control over every stage of processing, guaranteeing particle size precision, purity, consistency, and cutting performance.
To support stable supply, the facility is equipped with a 100,000-tonne warehouse for semi-finished products and a 40,000-tonne warehouse for finished goods, ensuring consistent quality and reliable delivery for customers worldwide.
In 2024, the global garnet production stood at 980,000 tonnes, while industries such as corrosion resistance face a substantial shortage of garnet abrasives. The launch of the OneGarnet plant has provided unprecedented new supply to the global market, injecting fresh momentum into the industry and strengthening long-term stability for downstream sectors.
With advanced technology, premium quality, and sustainable capacity, OneGarnet is proud to lead the garnet industry into a new era of growth and reliability, delivering Peak Performance, Optimal Value.
